The number one thing we hear from all about couples on consult calls or at bridal shows/events is ‘We have no idea what we are doing, we’ve never done this before!’ Planning a wedding takes a lot of time, patience and knowledge. Going at it alone adds even more stress, below are four things you won’t have to worry about when hiring a wedding planning team:
1. Communication with Vendors
- We will reach out to EVERY single vendor on your list. We want them to have our contact info and not yours. We confirm what each vendor is bringing and what time they are arriving and if they have any questions. Is your DJ bringing their own table or is there one from the venue? How about a linen for the table? Who is bringing the iced tea? The catering or the bar? These are all things we worry about so you don’t have too.
2. Creating a Floor Plan
- This is something we discuss at the first meeting and it involves over time to something beautiful like below. We pay for software to have the ability to create a professional floor plan to send out to vendors and have on the wedding day. We discuss things like open seating versus seating charts and help during setup to ensure each table has the correct amount of chairs. We talk about the placement tables being in guests views and are often swapping things around between ceremony and reception. This is often one of the items couples don’t think about until we bring it up. Having just another thing off your plate is a huge help.
3. Stressed out Parents
- We are often working with our couples throughout the planning process but on the wedding day it is the parents who are the most thankful for us. We are able to take control of any situtuion that arises, check in with them and make sure their drinks are full ( we legit do this y’all!)
4. Day of Decisions
- Imagine being able to fully enjoy the day and not being asked a million and one questions. With a planner that is exactly what happens! Even in our smallest packages we still met twice before the wedding day so we will know all the setup details, photo list, music choices etc so on the wedding day you can just enjoy. After all, how many times in our lives do we have everyone we love in one room, the last thing we want is to take you away from that.
