4 Tips to Save Money on your Wedding Flowers

Tip #1 to save money on your wedding flowers- Use seasonal flowers

Selecting flowers that are in season is a great way to reduce your expenses. Seasonal flowers are more readily available so they tend to cost less. In-season flowers will always be less expensive as their flower prices reflect the growing conditions and expenses required to produce them.

For spring and summer weddings, wildflowers are a lovely free option for creating a
beautiful bridal bouquet & most flowers like roses and ranunculus come in so many shades.

Tip #2 to save money on your Wedding flowers – Skip boutonnieres

These small detailed pieces can really add up if you have a large family and/or bridal
party. Our largest wedding party was fourteen on each side (holy moly) You can opt for a floral tie and a pocket square instead and still look classy and elegant.

Tip #3 to save money on your wedding flowers – Mix tall and short centerpieces

If you have your mindset on tall centerpieces however you are having some trouble in managing the cost, then you should consider mixing tall centerpieces with a few short ones. This way you get double the benefit as you get to use two styles in your wedding and can cut down the costs by skipping tall arrangements on every table. Mixing short and tall centerpieces will also help make a space feel vibrant and full and add so much dimension to the room!

For tall centerpieces, the added height helps to make the room more elegant and the
ceiling appears higher. Just be careful to use them appropriately—you don’t want to
block your guests’ line of sight! To combat this, put tall centerpieces on tables with less traffic such as a gift or buffet table. Short centerpieces are great for
accommodating conversation among guests. As a general guideline, you’ll want to keep those under 12 inches.

Tip #4 to save money on your wedding flowers – Use candles/lanterns

A great alternative for flowers is lantern centerpieces! You can buy them in bulk which will save you tons of money. They are perfect for outdoor weddings and many prefer to have something other than flowers to make your centerpieces stand out from other weddings. They are a super cute alternative and if you decide to put candles inside they will also provide light when the sun starts to set! Though you don’t have to put a traditional white candle inside if you don’t want to! Floating flowers are an option as well and they look amazing!
