Wedding Planning Checklist

Recently engaged and already overwhelmed by the planning process? Don’t worry, we can help! Making a wedding planning checklist with due dates is the best way to stay organized and on top of planning without getting stressed. Check out our wedding planning checklist below!

One Year Prior

  • Announce your engagement

  • Start planning guest list

  • Pick wedding date

  • Tour & decide venue

  • Start researching vendors

  • Ask friends and family to be In wedding party

Ten Months Prior

  • Decide on entertainment

  • Consider what food you want

  • Interview vendors

  • Register for gifts

  • Reserve room block for out of town guests

  • Purchase Wedding Dress

Six to Eight Months Prior

  • Order Bridesmaid Dresses

  • Start Planning Honeymoon

  • Send Save the Dates **Make sure to send one to your planner or bring on your wedding day so get some fun details photos like this!

  • Purchase Guest Book

  • Finalize Bridal Shower/Bachelorette/Bachelor

Three Months Prior

  • Order Wedding Cake

  • Attend Wedding Show

  • Groom/Groomsmen to Rent Formal Wear

  • Order Flowers for Ceremony/Reception

 

Two Months Prior

  • Hair and Makeup Trail Run

  • Bridal Portraits

  • Hire Wedding Transportation

One Month Prior

  • Apply for Marriage License *Check County

  • Website for More Info

  • Final Dress Fitting, Bring MOH or MOB along

  • Bridal Party should have dresses/suits

  • Write Wedding Vows

  • Pick up wedding bands

  • Check RSVPs – reach out to unconfirmed guests

  • Start confirming with all vendors

Two Weeks Prior

One Week Prior

  • Finalize Seating Arrangements & create or

  • Print place cards

  • Provide reception venue with final

  • Confirm Headcount with Catering

  • Pay any Balances Still Due

  • Make Packing List for Honeymoon & Start Packing

Two Days Prior

  • Have your Dress Steamed

  • Groom & Groomsmen Pick up Suits

  • Deliver Welcome bags to Hotel

  • Schedule mani & pedi

  • Groom get Haircut / Trimmed

  • Finalize Procession Order

  • Confirm any Last Minute Details

Day Prior

  • Rehearse Ceremony (if Venue Allows)

  • Provide Officiant with Marriage License

  • Attend Rehearsal Dinner

  • Give any Gifts to Bridal Party
