Your marriage license will need to be signed & mailed following the ceremony. Over average, it takes about two weeks for the clerk to be sent back to you. Planner Tip: We recommend getting a few additional certificated copies as you will likely need to send one each time you update your name.
Update Your Social Security Card. Your actual number won’t change here but you will get another card in the mail with your new last name. Application is linked here!
Make an appointment at the DMV to update your Drivers License.
Breathe, all of this won’t happen overnight so start with the big items and update everything else as you go along.
ALL of the other things that will come over time:
Checking Account/Debit/Credit Cards
