Shirley and Derick tied the knot at The French Farmhouse Venue on a beautiful November day and it was truly the garden party wedding of our dreams! We love The French Farmhouse Venue for its breathtaking chapel, French-inspired reception space, and the incredibly kind owners. Shirley and Derick wanted to keep the French farmhouse aesthetics in mind when planning their wedding and we think it turned out perfectly!
Shirley got ready with her bridesmaids in the incredible bridal suite which features plenty of hair and makeup stations to allow everyone to get ready at once. Shirley opted for a vintage inspired look, so she chose a form fitting gown with lace details and wore her hair in old Hollywood curls. It was a timeless look that paired beautifully with her bridesmaids’ pale blue and floral mismatched dresses. After getting ready, Shirley and the bridesmaids took photos on the outdoor balcony of the bridal suite which was a great way to showcase the statement pale blue doors of The French Farmhouse Venue.
Shirley and Derick opted for a heartwarming first look inside the chapel at The French Farmhouse Venue. This special moment not only allowed them to steal a glimpse of the ceremony space before guests arrived but to also spend a few quiet moments together before the day got busy. After the emotional first look, the couple took wedding party photos in front of the chapel. We loved how Derick and the groomsmens’ crisp blue suits complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses and brought more blue touches to the day.
As the ceremony began, guests were treated to the breathtaking beauty of The French Farmhouse Venue’s chapel adorned with colorful florals. The couple wanted to allow for the beauty of the chapel to shine through, so they chose minimal ceremony decorations. For the florals, Shirley wanted bright, fun colors, so the ceremony arch was covered in pale pink, orange, blue, and purple flowers to bring their garden party vision to life. They also chose complementary floral arrangements to line the aisle which added pops of color while still allowing guests to enjoy the chapel. The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony, then it was time to celebrate!
Golden hour at The French Farmhouse Venue is nothing short of magical, offering countless spots for couples to take photos. Shirley and Derick took advantage of the venue’s scenic beauty, posing for photos around the grounds with one of our favorites being in front of the venue. The venue also has vintage cars named Trudy and Lucy that Shirley and Derick adorned with flowers and used as a photo opp for themselves and for guests.
The reception space at The French Farmhouse Venue was transformed into a charming garden party, with pale blue runners, white candles, and colorful floral arrangements adorning the tables. The couple’s sweetheart table was surrounded by flowers including the repurposed ceremony arch florals along with some additional flowers so that it created a dreamy scene. For the cake, the couple chose a three tier white cake covered in hand painted abstract florals that perfectly complemented the flowers throughout the reception.
If you’re considering The French Farmhouse Venue, here are some of the reasons why we love it!
