Hello Friends,

Welcome to my website! I am so grateful for you stopping by, (I am still am in shock I have my own website!) Shoutout to Ideal Web for the help in creating it; if you want their info contact me today!!

See what I did there?! It is called a referral and as a new business owner it is what I look forward to most! My plan for this blog is too meet and educate you on industry professionals like myself, & best of all it is totally free! But first, let’s start with a little background. Here goes:

When I completed my wedding certification course, one of the chapters talked about how you have to find your niche, the thing that separates you from everyone else. For me it would be my ability to be frugal and savy, but still maintaining experiences and memories that will last a lifetime without costings a fortune. I can thank my mom for that – thanks, Mom!

Frugal – economical in use or expenditure; prudently saving or sparing; not wasteful

Savvy – shrewd and knowledgeable; having common sense and good judgement

I don’t want to confuse anyone reading this – I am not cheap, I just don’t buy things I do not need. I am not speaking just for events, this is how I live my life and I am perfectly happy with what I have and who I share it with. I have been to and helped planned several weddings, some much more extravagant than others and that is OK. I am a wedding and event planner, and as such I will plan the event exactly how you dreamt it, or start from scratch & help you create the dream.  A close friend of mine included a bottle of red and white wine at each table, an ice sculpture of the word ‘Love’ on the cake table plus a chocolate fondue fountain. Another friend got married on the beach, played cornhole, and had burger sliders for dinner. Both weddings were built around the bride and grooms dream, loving and beautiful and that is where I can help! However, I will let you know that wedding two was way more fun!

Did you know that, according to The Knot, in 2017 the average cost of a wedding was just over $33,000 & that doesn’t include the honeymoon? What if I told you I could plan your wedding for less with honeymoon included? I just met a great woman who helps couples book their dream vacations and honeymoons. I hope to introduce you to her later on as well!

I have been in the event planning industry for years now. It wasn’t until I relocated my entire life, was job searching again and frustrated that I wasn’t finding what I wanted to do or something I loved, so I decided to go out on my own. I have always enjoyed watching an event unfold, seeing someone’s dreams turn into a reality – that, to me, makes what I do worthwhile.

I never really gave my own wedding day much thought. I knew it would happen but I never had my centerpieces picked out, the bridesmaid dresses and colors already set; let’s just say my entire wedding isn’t planned via Pinterest. (No worries if yours is, it only makes my job easier!) When I met my boyfriend, who will one day be my husband (come on ladies, when you you know you know & I know!) I thought I would start imagining our special day even more. However I don’t; as long as he is the one meeting me at the end of the aisle, that day will be the most perfect ever. If you can relate to that then I promise you I am the person to help plan your special day.

My goal as a planner is not to deter you from everything you have ever dreamed for your wedding or event but to also break it down and research all options so we can make the best decision for you. (There goes the frugalness talking). If you want it, then by all means I will make it happen but to me the most important part of my day will be who is standing at the end of the aisle. If that is yours too, contact me today!

My goal for this blog to get the word out not only about my business but others in the area who are as passionate as I am about their careers. I will try to post at least once a week (I work two jobs so cut me some slack if I am a few days late ok?) Maybe I will post about a wedding or event venue I took a tour of, maybe I will grab coffee with a vendor or professional you will need on your special day. Maybe I will tell you about something that happened to me, either at hotel I work for or the real estate company, I am learning every day and I only ask one thing from you, my readers: If you enjoyed this, please share it. We have never met, but if you have gotten this far I like you already!

I look forward to posting here regularly and to connect with you and other readers.  I will update you with venues I see, vendor professionals I meet, my personal life, or post about something you all want to hear more about!  Leave a comment with any questions you have or posts you would like to see. I am so excited to start this journey and more excited to continue to share it with you.
